This year in Ivy Global School, we have a new change in the School Board of Management. It is with great pleasure that Dr. Lisa Helton will officially become the school's Principal in October 2022.

From October 16, 2022, the SIS platform was officially connected directly to the IGS Hub. Students can use their SIS login information to log into the IGS Hub. Follow IGS Hub to connect with friends, and receive news, especially about our extracurricular activities!

The Exact Path is a combination of the standardized benchmark test in the US taken three times a year, along with a personalized path that is accurately forecasted, enabling differentiated instruction to students according to their learning gaps and individual needs. By using an independent testing system, IGS can provide detailed information about students' progress in learning and ensure objectivity in testing and assessment of the International program. In mid-October, Ivy Global School held the first Parent - Teacher Conference for the 2022-2023 school year to convey important information about the learning platform, essential contact information for parents, and answer questions from parents. Thank you to the parents for accompanying and supporting the students and the school during the first month of the school year with lots of challenges. We hope parents and students have had a good start and will make significant progress.

On October 28th, the first Coffee Talk was held, giving the parent a clear view of the Exact Path system that IGS used. Notably, a series of Friday Coffee Talks will be held on Fridays. Through these events, more information is provided so parents can easily support and accompany their children in studying with the American system. Since then, we hope to help parents better understand the American curriculum, accompany the students set reasonable expectations and goals, and develop practical self-study skills to make the most of this program. How to study in Vietnam and receive an American degree at the same time to firmly grasp the opportunity to study abroad for a scholarship?

Answering this question, Ivy Global School, together with educational experts in Vietnam and the US, organized a series of seminars called "American Baccalaureate - Highway to America" ​​to help parents equip themselves with the background knowledge. The most fundamental, complete and multidimensional journey of accompanying children to become global citizen. The program includes 3 seminars held on October 21st, November 6th and November 27th, respectively.

To continue and promote the reading habits of students in the school year 2021-2022, Ivy Global School launched the EPIC Readers contest for the whole school. The event is part of a series of activities to improve the reading culture of each child in particular and the Ivy Global School student community in general.

🎁 08 students with the best reading results on EPIC will be given a surprise gift worth 100,000 VND.

🌞 Continuing the journey of building the habit of reading books every day, Ivy Global School brings a Book Review Contest. The contest encourages our students to share their thoughts and feelings about any book they have read.

This school year, the Office of Student Affairs will continue promoting the reading enhancement program by organizing a series of activities. One of which is the Reading Circle - a book reading club. We hope that Reading Circle will be an environment to help our students gain more confidence, improve their literary appreciation and English pronunciation, and develop emotional intelligence.
After the first Reading Circle sessions, our students must feel full of heart toward their families and excitement toward our subsequent sessions on Fridays (November 11th & 25th) and Saturday (November 12th &26th). Let's watch the recap of our first session.

👥 Target audience: IGS students from grade 6+

In October, IGS students had the opportunity to experience and connect with students from Santa Fe Middle School (USA) and White Castile School (France). Through the program, the students could expand their understanding and knowledge of different cultures. They also got to collaborate with other peers to complete exciting projects! Check out the highlights from this exciting session below.

IvyPrep and Ivy Global School’s Extracurricular Activities Department established “The Cycle Vietnam”, a volunteer club led and operated by students, and will be active mainly in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. The act of volunteering will not only help the community be better but also greatly benefit the participants. Moreover, social activities are the secret to winning scholarships to top schools because, through volunteering, students demonstrate leadership skills and certainly influence their communities. Thông qua chương trình lần này, các em được tìm hiểu tại sao du học ngành tài chính lại là chiến lược đầu tư thông minh, cũng như gặp gỡ các chuyên gia tài chính tại Mỹ và Việt Nam và lắng nghe những câu chuyện thực tiễn trong ngành.

Mong rằng sau chương trình lần này sẽ truyền được cảm hứng đến các em để có được những quyết định đúng đắn cho bản thân trong việc lựa chọn ngành nghề phù hợp.
