Khi nhìn lại chặng đường năm 2024, tôi không khỏi tự hào và biết ơn vì cộng đồng IGS mà chúng ta đã cùng nhau xây dựng. Đây là nơi tràn đầy sự gắn kết, tò mò và sáng tạo – một môi trường mà mỗi cá nhân đều được truyền cảm hứng để phát triển và vươn xa.

Trong suốt năm qua, các IGSers của chúng ta đã thể hiện tinh thần ham học hỏi và khát vọng trưởng thành khi nhiệt tình tham gia vào những hoạt động ý nghĩa. Từ sự thành lập của Hội đồng Học sinh đến các sự kiện như “IGS in My Heart” hay cuộc thi “Dear Santa,” các em không chỉ khám phá sở thích riêng, phát huy sự sáng tạo mà còn rèn luyện những kỹ năng quan trọng cho tương lai. Những hoạt động này phản ánh xu hướng giáo dục hiện đại, nơi sự độc lập, khả năng thích nghi và tinh thần hợp tác được đặt lên hàng đầu, chuẩn bị cho các em sẵn sàng trước những thay đổi của thế giới.

Những thành tựu này sẽ không thể đạt được nếu thiếu sự tận tâm, sáng tạo của đội ngũ thầy cô giáo – những người luôn mang đến những trải nghiệm học tập trực tuyến đầy cảm hứng. Đồng hành cùng đó là sự hỗ trợ hết lòng từ quý phụ huynh – chỗ dựa vững chắc để các em học sinh tự tin vươn tới thành công.

Bước sang năm 2025, chúng ta cùng chia sẻ một tầm nhìn chung về sự đổi mới, phát triển và gắn kết. Mục tiêu của chúng tôi là tiếp tục xây dựng một môi trường thân thiện, truyền cảm hứng, nơi mọi học sinh đều cảm nhận được sự đồng hành và hỗ trợ để đạt được ước mơ của mình. Những sáng kiến sắp tới như Tết Donation Campaign, IGS Culture Day, Summer Camp 2025 và nhiều sự kiện thú vị khác sẽ mở ra những cơ hội để các em khám phá, sáng tạo và tìm thấy ý nghĩa trong từng trải nghiệm.

Hãy cùng nhau biến năm 2025 thành một hành trình đầy những cột mốc đáng nhớ, những thành tựu tự hào và những kỷ niệm không thể quên. Xin cảm ơn vì sự gắn bó và đồng hành của mỗi thành viên trong gia đình IGS. Chúc tất cả một năm mới tràn đầy niềm vui, thành công và cảm hứng!

❤️ For two consecutive years, Selena has been an active member of the IGS Student Council. Through this experience, she not only enhanced her English proficiency but also sharpened essential soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication. This dynamic and challenging environment pushed her to maximize her potential and provided a strong foundation for her IELTS success.

❤️ Selena shared that her biggest motivation was the desire to prove herself, along with the unwavering support from her mother and friends. This achievement not only brings her joy and pride but also gives her a competitive edge in college applications, potentially shortening her academic journey in her desired field. Moving forward, Selena plans to further enhance her English skills, especially in academic English, to support her studies and future career development.

🔥 Today, let’s “zoom in” on the incredible journey of Hoàng Linh Thy (aka Selena), a true IELTS “pro” from IGS’s 12th-grade High School program! Selena has just achieved a remarkable 8.0 IELTS score—a dream number for many!

📚 In real life, Selena is a true bookworm, especially when it comes to fantasy novels, and she’s also an impressive gamer! Her IELTS journey wasn’t easy, but it was far from boring. She first got introduced to IELTS in 6th grade and consistently took mock tests every year to “check” her progress. By 10th grade, she officially started structured and effective IELTS preparation.

💡 Selena’s secret? Setting her own deadlines and practicing with full dedication. Instead of memorizing theories, she focused on mastering the basic structures of each test section and applied them flexibly to different question types. Writing Task 1 was a challenge for her, but she overcame it by thoroughly learning the structure and practicing with various types of charts. Listening, however, has always been her strength, thanks to years of training since 6th grade. Her knowledge from ELA and social studies at IGS also gave her a solid foundation for Writing Task 2. Additionally, having lessons with American teachers at IGS helped her build confidence in both Speaking and Listening.

Trong không khí vui tươi và ý nghĩa chào đón ngày Nhà giáo Việt Nam 20/11, các bạn học sinh IGS đã cùng nhau vẽ nên một bức tranh đầy màu sắc tại "Teacher's Day Appreciation Wall". Những lời cảm ơn chân thành, những kỷ niệm ngọt ngào, và những lời chúc tốt đẹp nhất đã được các em gửi gắm qua từng dòng chia sẻ, bức ảnh và video, thể hiện lòng biết ơn sâu sắc đối với các thầy cô.

Mỗi lời viết, mỗi khoảnh khắc được ghi lại, đều là minh chứng cho tình cảm trân trọng mà các em dành cho người thầy, người cô của mình. Đó là những khoảnh khắc ấm áp, những bài học quý giá, và những kỷ niệm đẹp mà các em sẽ luôn mang theo trong trái tim mình.

Phó Đức Nam Dương (Leo) is a 6th-grade Talent Program student at Ivy Global School and also attends Vietnam-Australia Hanoi School.

Recently, Leo achieved an outstanding milestone by winning the “Best Bilingual Cultural Ambassador” award at the Vietnam International Cultural Ambassador Competition. This was a special award, originally not part of the official prize structure, but due to Leo’s exceptional performance and strong impression on the judges, the award was created specifically for him.

Leo was among the very few contestants who delivered their presentation in both English and Vietnamese, and he stood out as the most proficient English speaker in the competition. He shared that he spent countless hours not only practicing his English presentation skills but also researching and exploring traditional Vietnamese culture, particularly the H’mông ethnic attire, to deliver a meaningful and insightful message.

But that’s not all—Ivy Global School is thrilled to share that this is just one of many remarkable achievements Leo has earned throughout the academic year. His impressive list of awards includes:

🎉 Trong tháng 3, sinh IGS đã có cơ hội được tham gia hai buổi trong chuỗi workshop của chương trình "My Borderless Best Friend".

 🌟 Trong buổi workshop đầu tiên, các học viên đã đi sâu vào khái niệm Netiquette (nghi thức Internet), học cách điều hướng thế giới trực tuyến với sự tôn trọng và trách nhiệm.

🌐 Ở workshop thứ hai, các em khám phá thế giới kỳ diệu của tình bạn, khám phá tầm quan trọng của sự đồng cảm, giao tiếp và lòng tốt trong việc thúc đẩy những kết nối có ý nghĩa. 

Trong suốt cả hai buổi học, học sinh được khuyến khích bày tỏ suy nghĩ, chia sẻ câu chuyện cá nhân và suy ngẫm về trải nghiệm của chính mình. 🤔 Thông qua các hoạt động tương tác và thảo luận sôi nổi, những buổi hội thảo này đã tạo ra một môi trường an toàn và hòa nhập, nơi trí tuệ trẻ có thể phát triển. 🌱

This year, Ivy Global School continues its tradition of spreading love with the Li Xi Sua (Milk for Lucky Money) campaign. 💛

With the heartfelt message “Sharing Love, Spreading Sweetness”, Ivy Global School called upon the community to join hands in bringing warmth and nourishment to underprivileged children.

🌟 In just one week, the campaign successfully raised almost 700 cartons of milk! 🌟

📍 January 16 – In Ho Chi Minh City, the Office of Student Affairs, on behalf of Ivy Global School, handed over the collected milk to Saigon Children's Charity, ensuring that students in the Children’s Development Scholarship Program in Trà Vinh received their New Year gifts. The children’s joy and excitement reflected their hopes for a brighter and more caring year ahead.

📍 January 17 – The Office of Student Affairs delivered these heartfelt milk donations to Vietnam Youth Association Club as part of the “Xuan gan ket, tet yeu thuong” initiative. These small but meaningful gifts carried sincere New Year wishes, bringing happiness and warmth to children in Hoa Binh—where Tet celebrations are not always complete.

Beyond providing nutrition, the Li Xi Sua campaign is about spreading hope and warmth. Every carton of milk delivered not only brought smiles to children’s faces but also strengthened the bonds within our community, making this Tet truly a season of sharing.

💖 A heartfelt thank you to our parents, students, teachers, and staffs for your kindness and generosity. May this campaign not only bring sweet moments but also empower and uplift children in need throughout 2025! ✨

During the recent Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, IGSers and their families captured meaningful moments of togetherness through the Lunar Snake Journey 2025 contest. The photos and videos not only showcased the warm festive atmosphere but also spread the spirit of reunion and love.

🏆 After many impressive entries, the final results will be announced on February 10th, 2025. Stay tuned to see which moments will be honored! 🎉
