This April, as we turn our hearts toward Earth Month, Ivy Global School is proud to honor Ms. Mai Xuan (Ms. Mi) — an inspiring teacher who brings sustainability to life in every lesson. For Ms. Mi, teaching is all about bringing the real world into virtual classroom.

Defined by three scientific keywords "Detail, Curiosity, and Empirical Evidence" — Ms. Mi approaches education through meticulous observation and rich experience. She masterfully bridges the online gap by transforming the mini-ecosystems she nurtures at home into "living evidence," allowing students to witness firsthand how nature operates and connects. 

Moving away from grand definitions, "green living" to Ms. Mi is simply about practical understanding. Rather than focusing on rigid concepts, she empowers students to grasp the essence of environmental issues — such as why we choose electric vehicles or how humans rely on ecosystems to survive.

Her greatest joy, as she shares, is when a student starts asking, "Why?". When children stop taking nature's cycles for granted and begin to understand their profound bond with the world, a love for the environment blossoms naturally. As Ms. Mi believes: "When knowledge leaves the paper and enters real life, that is when true education begins."

Sharing her message with the IGS community, Ms. Mi emphasizes that change doesn't need to be monumental; it starts with observing and understanding the world around us. She encourages parents to join their children in asking "Why?" and seeking real-world answers. When awareness shifts, even the smallest actions can create a significant impact.

✨ Global Culture Day 2026 đã khép lại, để lại thật nhiều nụ cười, sắc màu và những khoảnh khắc đáng nhớ tại cả Hà Nội và TP. Hồ Chí Minh.

Từ những khoảnh khắc check-in Tết rộn ràng đến các không gian trải nghiệm văn hóa đến từ nhiều châu lục, tất cả đã cùng tạo nên một ngày hội học tập sống động, nơi học sinh được khám phá thế giới bằng sự tò mò, niềm vui và tinh thần cởi mở.

Trong hành trình giao thoa ấy, không chỉ học sinh mà cả phụ huynh cũng được kết nối, cùng chia sẻ những giá trị giáo dục toàn cầu trong một không gian gần gũi và truyền cảm hứng.

Với 4 buổi sinh hoạt, Câu lạc bộ Hùng biện đã cùng học sinh xây dựng được một số kỹ năng nhỏ, học cách nói rõ ràng và sáng tạo hơn, và thử sức ngoài vùng an toàn của mình ✨

Trong khi đó, Câu lạc bộ Thủ công mang đến màu sắc và sự thư giãn thông qua các buổi sinh hoạt với các hoạt động thực hành như vẽ chân dung tự họa, cây thông Noel, thiệp pop-up, phong bì đỏ và đèn lồng giấy 🎨✂️ Không phải sản phẩm nào cũng hoàn hảo - nhưng điều quan trọng là các IGSers đã học được sự kiên nhẫn, yêu thương bản thân, và tận hưởng thời gian trò chuyện và sáng tạo cùng bạn bè 🌈 Không chỉ vậy, một số IGSers đã đảm nhận vai trò làm người hướng dẫn, hỗ trợ những bạn khác thực hành và âm thầm phát triển kỹ năng lãnh đạo và giao tiếp của mình! 🌟

Ngoài sinh hoạt online, các câu lạc bộ cũng đã tổ chức các gian hàng trực tiếp tại sự kiện Jingle Fest, và quyên góp toàn bộ lợi nhuận cho dự án từ thiện của Hội đồng học sinh - Các con đã sử dụng tiếng nói của mình để hỗ trợ cho một mục đích tốt đẹp 💖

Học kỳ 1 chỉ là sự khởi đầu - với nhiều điều thú vị hơn nữa đang chờ đón các con phía trước! 🚀

The Earth is indeed a marvel of nature, wouldn’t you agree? Among the few planets capable of supporting life, we are fortunate that Mother Nature has bestowed upon us an abundance of breathtaking spectacles. From the majestic Grand Canyon to the towering Himalayas, the picturesque Napali Coast, and the stunning Ha Long Bay, these wonders are exquisite masterpieces crafted by nature's hand. 

However, it prompts one to ponder: will these extraordinary places endure, retaining their beauty, or will they fall victim to human influence? The harsh reality of pollution looms over us, with unforeseen consequences that threaten our planet’s health. 

On April 22nd, amidst those who chose not to remain passive as our natural world declined, stood a man who believed in the power of awareness to incite action. Rather than accepting pollution as an unavoidable outcome of progress, he viewed it as a pressing issue that required our collective responsibility. This visionary was Gaylord Nelson.

Born in 1916 in Clear Lake, Wisconsin, Gaylord Nelson’s early years were shaped by his surroundings—growing up in a small town enveloped by forests and lakes instilled in him a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. This passion later informed his political pursuits. After serving in World War II, he returned to study law and subsequently entered the realm of politics. As governor, he emphasized conservation programs and environmental protection long before they became commonplace topics of discussion. 

Upon reaching the Senate, he emerged as one of the earliest and staunchest advocates for environmental reform. During the 1970s, when ecological issues in the United States reached a critical point but environmental protection had yet to seize the political spotlight, Nelson opted to bring the matter directly to the populace. Drawing inspiration from the student “teach-ins” of the era, he proposed a nationwide environmental teach-in—a dedicated day for education, awareness, and civic engagement. 

On April 22nd, 1970, this vision materialized as the inaugural Earth Day. Approximately 20 million Americans participated, marking it as one of the largest civic demonstrations in United States history. What began as a singular day of awareness swiftly evolved into substantial changes, leading to the establishment of environmental protections and the creation of national policies aimed at safeguarding our air, water, and land.
